Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed Bin-Mubarak confirmed today that labeling the Houthi militia as a terrorist organization is Yemen’s top priority requirement from the European Union.
In a press conference held in the capital, Brussels, regarding developments in the situation in Yemen and the region, Bin-Mubarak explained the nature of the measures required to be taken by the European Union, stressing that including the Houthi militia in the list of terrorist organizations is considered one of the priorities of those measures.
He commented on the European trend of sending a military mission in the Red Sea, stressing the necessity of coordination with the Red Sea countries as they are concerned with the sea’s security, and holding the Houthi militia responsible for its militarization.
The Foreign Minister reiterated the Yemeni government’s position in support of the Palestinian cause and its condemnation of the crimes of genocide committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip, and its demand for an immediate ceasefire
