Ambassador Bahomayd discusses with Philippine Human Rights Commission prospects for joint cooperation

Yemen’s non-resident ambassador to the Philippines, Adel Bahomayd, discussed today with the head of the Philippine Human Rights Commission, Richard Balbal Latuk, prospects for joint cooperation in the field of human rights between the two friendly countries.Ambassador Bahomayd expressed the Yemeni government’s deep appreciation for the Philippine position in support of Yemen in the field of human rights, especially the positive and supportive stance shown by the Philippines during the vote against the extension decision of the United Nations Committee of Experts.

Ambassador Bahomayd also touched on the developments in the situation in our country, reviewing the total crimes and gross violations of human rights practiced by the terrorist Houthi militia against the Yemeni people, including kidnappings, enforced disappearances, torture, arrests of journalists and activists, and other practices that violate human rights.
