Prime Minister Dr. Ma’een Abdulmalik received today, Wednesday, here in the temporary capital Aden the Charged’ Affairs of the embassy of the Peoples’ Republic of China in the Republic of Yemen Chu Ch’ing.
Aspects of Yemeni-Chinese bilateral relationship and cooperation was key focus of the conversations.
The latest developments in Yemen amid the Terrorist Houthi militias’ intransigence and insistence on violence, blocking all peace efforts were touched upon.
The Chinese role in support of the Yemeni people and the legitimate Yemeni government and the needed humanitarian interventions by China to alleviate the Yemeni peoples’ suffering also elaborately discussed.
The Prime Minister welcomed the Chinese diplomat in Aden, citing the real opportunities for partnership with the Chinese friends in several fields including the Road and Belt Initiative.
Dr. Ma’een highly praised the Chinese principled stance in support of the legality in Yemen and the UN’s efforts to make peace and allay the Yemeni peoples’ suffering.
The Chinese diplomat reiterated his country’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council and Yemeni government. He noted that the Peoples’ Republic of China is keen to support the UN’s efforts to make peace in Yemen.
He also pointed out to the Chinese President visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab-Chinese Summit, saying that it is heralding a new of phase collaboration in the fields of energy, capacity building, infrastructure and humanitarian aid.
