The Ambassador of Yemen in Kuala Lumpur Dr. Adel Bahomayd discussed with the Malaysian Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Nancy Shukri the prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the tourism and cultural fields, especially after the return of tourism activity following the easing of movement restrictions caused by the coronavirus shutdown on all countries of the world.
Bahomayd expressed Yemen’s pride in the brotherly and historical relations with Malaysia, expressing the Yemeni government’s readiness to cooperate in vital and important fields, including the exchange of joint support in all international forums, councils, providing an overview of the inclusion of four sites on the list of Islamic world heritage by the Organization ISESCO.
A number of issues related to encouraging Yemeni investment in the tourism sector were discussed, especially after Malaysia announced the start of the new tourist season, which aims to attract many tourists from different countries of the world.
For her part, the Malaysian Minister expressed her appreciation for all the efforts made by Yemeni investors to encourage tourism in Malaysia, expressing her interest in all issues discussed at the meeting, and stressing that work will be done to overcome all forms of difficulties facing investors in this vital and important sector.
