Yemen’s Ambassador to Dutch, the Non-Resident Ambassador to Norway Sahar Ghanem discussed Monday with Assistant Minster of Foreign Affairs for Regional Affairs of Norway Vebjorn Dysvik latest political and humanitarian situation developments in Yemen.
The two parties also discussed mutual relations between the two countries.
Ghanem reviewed efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council for normalizing conditions in liberated areas and truce agreement between the government and Houthi militia, as well as Houthi militia stubbornness and its continuous siege on Taiz City.
she confirmed necessity of taking serious measures to put an end to Houthi militia’s stubbornness and its rejection to open outlets of Taiz to ease civilian movements.
She touched upon situation of Safir Oil Tanker and international efforts to make Yemen, region and the world away of environmental disaster could result if the tanker explodes or leaks into the Red Sea, pointing out to committing Houthi militia to stop planting landmines and to handover the maps of the mines quickly.
For his part, the Norwegian official confirmed keenness of the Norway’s foreign ministry in situations in Yemen, pointing out to continuous support of his country to Yemen in political and humanitarian fields.
In similar context, Ganem discussed with a number of Norwegian officials in several meetings latest developments in Yemen and Yemeni-Norwegian mutual cooperation and enhancing bilateral relations.
Ghanem also discussed with Director of Norwegian People Organization and its members programs implemented in Yemen by the organization and getting rid of landmines planted by Houthi militia.
