Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh discussed Thursday with Charge D’affairs of British Embassy in Yemen latest developments in Yemen and mutual relations between the two countries.
He pointed out to legitimacy’s keenness on realizing peace in accordance with the three agreed upon references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Council’s Resolution 2216.
He touched upon process of implementation Riyadh Agreement and the mechanism of speeding up the implementation for unifying national fronts.
Regarding Houthi continuous military escalation on Marib province and on other warfronts across the country, Vice President confirmed that Houthis do not want peace, pointing out to ethical responsibility of the international community to put pressure on Houthis to stop their attacks on populated areas and to respond to peace efforts.
He noted to Iranian Army’s Spokesperson’s recent statements in which he acknowledged of providing logistic support to Houthi terrorist group.
For his part, the UK diplomat reconfirmed his country’s keenness on realizing permanent peace and working on ending humanitarian crisis suffered by Yemeni people.
He reviewed issues and efforts exerted for realizing peace in the country.
