ADEN-SABA
The upper house of the Yemeni parliament condemned on Monday the declaration of “self-rule” by southern separatists a couple of days ago in the government’s interim seat of Aden.
In a statement, Majlis Al-Shura said the Southern Transitinal Council’s declaration of self-rule and emergency state in Aden is “a stark coup d’état against the legitimacy of the Republic of Yemen, the UN resolutions in this regard and the Riyadh Agreement of November 2019.
Al-Shura held the STC militiamen accountable for vandalism acts including the usurping of public and private properties and killing of oppositionist civilians.
