Yemen’s Foreign Minister said the government had met all its obligations under the power sharing Agreement of Riyadh which the southern separatist militias sabotaged a couple of days ago.
Mohammed al-Hadhrami told the British The British Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa James Cleverly in a meeting here today that the Southern Transitional Council’s recent declaration of self-rule in south Yemen is “rejected and it sabotages the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement” brokered by Saudi Arabia in November 2019.
Al-Hadhrami affirmed the Yemeni government’s keenness to secure a comprehensive and permanent peace based on the three terms of reference for peace: the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue of 2013-2014 and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.
