RIYADH- SABA
Yemen’s Foreign Minister said it is hard for the government to consider new peace talks with Houthis while the (implementation of the) last “Stockholm Agreement” hasn’t seen any concrete progress.
In a meeting with the French ambassador to Yemen here today, Mohammed al-Hadhrami reiterated the government’s interest in a sustainable peace as a comprehensive deal.
He called on the UN Security Council to take punitive measures against the rebels who have denied UN experts access to a loaded Yemeni oil tanker that is stranded in the Red Sea since 2015 and poses an epic environmental threat.
He also called on the Southern Transitional Council to honor the Riyadh Agreement and implement it according to its time mechanism.
