Foreign Minister Mohammed Al-Hadrami met on Wednesday with Executive Director of International Alliance for the Protection of Heritage in Conflict Areas (ALIPH) Valery Freland.
The protection of historical landmarks and cultural heritage in our county was a key focus of Al-Hadrami’s conversation with Freland.
Al-Hadrami briefed Freland on the variety of historical monuments, treasures and cultural heritage that Yemen is famous for.
The Foreign Minister also conferred with the Director of ALIPH over practical measures the government has taken to protect the Yemeni heritage.
He stated that the government ratified recently the UNESCO Convention about the means to ban export and transport objects of cultural heritage.
