President al-Alimi: Regaining Sana’a, the state’s institutions has become closer than ever

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) asserted his great confidence that recapturing Sana’a and other cities which are forcedly controlled by the terrorist Houthi militias has become closer than ever before.

In his address to the nation on Eid al-Fitr, he said the signs of victory are on the horizon, stressing the need for a truly wide-range national alignment and establishing a solid and united republican front to eliminate the Imamate coup, restore the state’s active role and Yemen’s position.

His Excellency affirmed that this moment has become very imminent and that the republican alliance now is stronger, determined to get battle to restore the state’s institutions and end the coup finished and bring our country back on the path of stability and sustainable peace.

” This is the moment to regain the state’s institutions, thanks to your steadfastness and the support of our loyal allies” he said, adding ” Today, we’re well aware of your aspirations and priorities to move forward to the future. However, we must forget the past traumas and the defeated discourses, dedicated our efforts to fight the battle for regaining the state’s institutions. We promised you to keep this a fundamental goal, never relinquish, it is obtainable with the help of the Almighty Allah”.

The President noted that the blessed Eid al-Fitr this year coincides with the anniversary of launching the ” Decisiveness Storm”, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, as the greatest joint Arab coalition to deter the new imamate scheme, defend our nation identity and its national security.

Eid al-Fitr also comes close to the third anniversary of establishing the PLC as a significant event aimed to move the country from the division to the collective action, from the war to peace that satisfies the aspirations of the all Yemenis to eliminate the coup, re-build their own state on the basis of justice, equity and partnership in power and wealth.

The President voiced deep gratitude to the brothers in the Arab Coalition for support legitimacy in Yemen, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for their constant support for Yemen in different stages and circumstances.
He noted that they really set a very good examples for solidarity and honorable stances in support of the Yemeni people, alleviate its suffering and supporting its aspirations for security, peace and development.

His Excellency stated that the PLC has managed to continue to work on the priorities of the transitional stage per the Declaration of Power Transfer, thanks to the brothers’ and friends’ support, we have kept on working to administer the state politically, military and security, re-build the institutions in the temporary capital Aden and the government-held governorates, underpin the government’s efforts to deliver on its obligations, improve the efficiency of the Central Bank, public finance, relatively ensure regular pay of the employees’ salaries, despite the acute financial crisis created by the Houthis’ terrorist attacks on oil facilities.

He said” We have keenly sought to avoid the cycles of conflict among the components of the official leadership. Acting on the basis of the collective responsibility, the PLC approved an inclusive strategy to deal with the stage’s challenges and the future obligations for the first time since the terrorist Houthis militias’ coup against the national consensus. This period also has been culminated with achieving the final draft of the rules governing the actions of the PLC and its backup bodies”.

The President cited the PLC’s efforts since it was established on April 7, 2022, including reinvigorating the state’s institutions, establish security and stability, initiating reforms within the military and security institutions, enhancing the state legal position in the temporary capital Aden and the government-held governorates and responsibly handling the peace file, discrediting the Houthi militias’ misleading narratives and achieving remarkable positive change in the position of the international community, which is a turning point toward counting down for the collapse of the imamate scheme, retaking the regions which continued to be under the militia’s’ control.

The Chairman of the PLC noted that the PLC has never hesitated to admit the shortages in handling some crucial files including the slow pace in returning state’s leaderships to operate from inside the country, improve revenues and reduce the economic deterioration effects that have been seriously exacerbated by the terrorist attacks of the Houthi militias on oil facilities.
