Yemen condemns Houthi kidnapping of international and local organizations’ staff

ADEN – SABA
The situation in Yemen is utterly calamitous, with the Houthi militias’ abduction of 13 employees of UN agencies, international and local non-governmental organizations in Sana’a being an egregious example of their blatant disdain for human rights and international law.

The Yemeni government has vehemently condemned this action, denouncing it as a “flagrant contravention of international humanitarian law” that poses a significant threat to the lives and security of these employees.

A statement by the country’s foreign ministry has said that the “Houthi militia are perpetrating punitive policies against the Yemeni populace and everyone who endeavors to assist them, as abduction, homicide, and forcible displacement are repeated day after day.
