Yemen condemns Israeli enemy for enacting laws banning UNRWA activities in the Palestinian territories

The Republic of Yemen voiced its strong condemnation of the adoption by the Israeli entity of laws prohibiting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for the Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) from carrying out its humanitarian activities and work.

 

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that “These practices represent a new arbitrariness and undermining of the principles and laws of humanitarian work and have very serious humanitarian consequences in further worsening the suffering of the Palestinian people.”

The statement called on the international community and the UN Security Council to put an end to these daily atrocities and crimes by declaring an immediate ceasefire that guarantees the Palestinian people’s security, stability and legitimate rights, in accordance with the two-state solution, the Arab Peace Initiative and international resolutions and conventions
