PM holds talks with British Foreign Minister

Prime Minister Ahmed bin Mubarak held officials talks today, Wednesday, here in London with the British Secretary of State and the Commonwealth Development David Cameron covered a range of topics , including Yemeni-British bilateral relations and cooperation, developments in Yemen, British humanitarian and development support for Yemen and the ongoing efforts to revive the political process.

The conversations also explored the prospects for establishing Yemeni-British partnerships and investments enterprises in the promising sectors in Yemen.

The ongoing economic war has been waged by Iran-backed Houthi militias and its negative impacts upon the national economic was also discussed.

The British Foreign Minister reiterated London’s support for Yemen’s unity, stability and regional and international efforts bring the conflict in Yemen to its end through peaceful settlement.

It is important to note that the British Foreign and Commonwealth Ministry is going to announce an increase in its humanitarian aid to Yemen from 83 million up to 139 million Pound Sterling.

Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to London Dr. Yassin Noaman and Head of the Prime Minister’s Office Eng. Anis BaHaritha were in attendance.
