President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, concluded high-level discussions in New York City during the annual meetings of the United Nations General Assembly.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council delivered the Republic of Yemen’s speech to the seventy-eighth session of the General Assembly, addressing the international community about the developments in the Yemeni situation and the interventions required to contain the humanitarian crisis created by the Houthi militias supported by the Iranian regime.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council also briefed world leaders on the latest developments in peace efforts, including the good efforts of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman, and the vision of the Council and the government regarding the objective requirements for achieving a comprehensive and sustainable peace that guarantees the restoration of state institutions and prevents renewed rounds of war and destruction.
On the sidelines of the annual meetings of the General Assembly, the President, along with member of the Presidential Leadership Council Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, and the accompanying delegation held bilateral meetings and high-level discussions, which included heads of governments, diplomats, and regional and international actors, as well as an open meeting with leaders and representatives of the Yemeni community in the United States.
