Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muamar al-Eryani has said that Houthi terrorist militia continues misleading the public opinion and international community by playing with the realty of numbers and huge funds it loots from revenues of oil derivatives coming through Hodeida Port.
He made it clear that the revenues the terrorist militia collects from oil derivatives imported through Hodeida Port are enough for providing salaries of the government employees and retired people in the areas under the militia’s control regularly.
He pointed out that the number of oil ships, which were given licenses and unloaded their shipments in Hodeida Port since announcing the UN Truce on the second of April 2022 until Monday 14 August 2023 has reached (157) ships with total shipments of (4,098,076) metric tons, or more than 4 billion liters of oil.
He added that 50 percent of these shipments have been provided to the militia free of charge by Iran and were sold in local markets as 450 YR for one litter with total value of US 3.5 billion, equal YR 2 trillion.
The terrorist militia imposes 120 USD tax and custom fees on the one ton of oil derivatives imported through Hodeida Port, which equals 50 YR for one litter with total fees of 200 billion YR collected by the militia from the imported quantities, said Minister al-Eryani.
He called upon the international community and the UN to abandon shameful silence and do their duties to put pressure on the militia to stop hunger policy against Yemeni people.
