UK announces new assistances to Yemen worth USD 205 million

UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office has announced on a program for new humanitarian assistances worth USD 205 million to provide healthcare to women and children affected by the war in Yemen.

In a release to the office on Friday, it said the assistant program, which will last for four years, provides healthcare to about million children and women annually and providing feeding, drinking water, sanitation water and other health services to women, as well as providing protection against violence.

“The crisis in Yemen continues causing suffering of millions of Yemeni people, women and children -specially- pay the huge price,” the release quoted a statement to Foreign Secretary of the UK James Cleverly.

The United Kingdom is still committed to help solve humanitarian crisis in Yemen and the program of “Yemeni women and children” will provide a vital support to the more affected people, he added.
