His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and with him a member of the Council, Othman Mujalli, met with His Excellency President Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, in conjunction with the Arab-Chinese Summit held today, Friday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council expressed his appreciation for the Chinese position on the side of the Yemeni people, their legitimate leadership, and their aspirations to restore state institutions and end the coup of the terrorist Houthi militia backed by the Iranian regime.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council put the Chinese President before the developments of the Yemeni situation, and the pressures required to push the militias to submit to the popular will and relevant international resolutions, and to give priority to the interests of the Yemeni people over Iran’s subversive interests in Yemen and the region.
His Excellency the President praised the long-standing Yemeni relations with the People’s Republic of China, the Chinese development interventions in various fields, and its important initiatives to enhance fruitful cooperation with Yemen and all Arab countries, especially within the framework of the “Belt and Road” plan.
For his part, President Xi Jinping affirmed the Chinese position in support of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, and efforts aimed at bringing peace and stability to Yemen.
The commitment of the Chinese government to provide all forms of support to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, and to strengthen the bilateral partnership between the two countries at various levels.
