Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed BinMubarak called on the Republic of Turkey to deal with Houthi militias as a “Terrorist Group” in accordance with the Yemeni authorities’ recent decision about designating these militias as a Terrorist Group.
BinMubark’s call came during his meeting today, Sunday, here with Ambassador of Turkey to the Republic of Yemen Mostafa Polat.
He detailed Mr. Polat on the Houthi terrorist escalation in the city of Taiz and the oil facilities in the two governorates of Hadramout and Shabwa, citing the repercussions of these unacceptable actions that further worsening the already crippling humanitarian crisis.
The Minister explained the significant concessions the government has made in order push the UN’s good offices, mainly the ones about opening Sana’a airport and regularly entry of the oil derivatives ships to Hodeidah Seaports. Meanwhile the militias have failed to honor any of its obligations under the truce agreement including lifting the besiege of the city of Taiz.
The Turkish Ambassador reiterated his country’s condemnation of the Houthis’ attacks, affirming Turkey’s support for the Presidential Leadership Council and for everything that maintain Yemen’s security, unity and stability.
