The Yemeni government welcomed the Saudi Ministers Council’s call for the designation of the Houthi militias as a global terrorist group.
It praised all regional efforts in this context, including banning contacts with the group and drying up its sources of funding.
Over the past eight years, the Yemeni government has stressed the danger of these terrorist militias backed by the Iranian regime to international peace and security, impeding peace and stability efforts in Yemen, and rejecting all good endeavors to end war and human suffering, including the Saudi initiative, and the declaration of the recent UN armistice, which calls for classification at the top of the list.
The government said in a statement that the Yemeni news agency (Saba) received a copy of that “It is sufficient to consider the war crimes and egregious violations of human rights, to accelerate the terrorist classification of the Houthi militia, which has caused the largest humanitarian crisis in the world, as well as millions of dead, wounded, and displaced, and the depletion of national capabilities in all fields.” ”
. The statement added, “The planting of millions of forbidden mines in the length and breadth of the country has inflicted and continues to cause tens of thousands of victims, and this will hinder, over the coming decades, opportunities to invest in the country’s capabilities and stability.
