Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Othman Mujalli met today, Monday, with the Chargé d’Affairs of the Japanese Embassy in Yemen.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
Mujalli praised the Japanese role in the humanitarian, development and relief field and its previous interventions in the agricultural field, welcoming Japan’s resumption of its development programs in Yemen through training national cadres, and signing the implementation of a new project within the reconstruction in the port of Aden, in partnership with the United Nations Development Program at a cost of three million dollars in the first phase.
During the meeting, the political developments in the Yemeni scene were discussed as a result of the intransigence of the Houthi coup militia and its refusal to deal with international efforts to extend the truce.
He said,”We reject this hostile behavior, .. pressure and blackmail, and we will not accept any dictations that keep Yemen hostage under the authority of a rebel militia (Houthis).”
He called on the international community to deal firmly with the terrorist group, saying the truce is not holding in actuality and that the Houthi militia has committed thousands of violations, and continued its military escalation and violations” killing scores of people especially innocent civilians.
