Member of the Presidential Leadership Council General Lieutenant Sultan al-Erada discussed Sunday with Charge D’Affairs of Japan’s Embassy in Yemen Kazohero Higashi improving relations between the two friendly countries.
Al-Erada reviewed latest developments in Yemen under Houthi militia’s rejection to extending humanitarian truce and available choices before the council to deal with Houthi militia’s threats to foreign and local companies in navigation and oil fields and with any other possible military threat by the militia.
Al-Erada confirmed consistence of the Presidential Leadership Council under President al-Alimi and its continuous efforts to realize peace, pointing out to concessions made by the council for the purpose of alleviating suffering of the Yemeni people despite Houthi militia’s stubbornness and rejection to all local, regional and international calls for peace.
The presidential council will not stay idle before Houthi militia’s escalations, confirmed al-Erada.
He praised Japanese Government’s position supporting Yemen and its issue, pointing out to hopeful role of Japan in reconstruction in Yemen.
For his part, the Japanese diplomat reaffirmed his country’s support to the Presidential Leadership Council and its efforts for realizing peace and praised its positive role towards extending the truce.
He uttered readiness of his country’s government on providing support to Yemen in different fields, especially in humanitarian one and qualifying Yemeni cadre in different vital domains.
