The deputies to the Vice-Chairmen of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, Abdul-Malik Al-Mikhlafi, Sakhr Al-Wajeeh, Jamila Raja, and Akram Al-Amiri, met with the Chargé d’Affairs of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in our country.
During the meeting, they discussed Yemeni-Chinese relations and their historical roots, and prospects for their development in line with the depth of relations and mutual support between the two countries and the interests that link them.
The deputies also reviewed a summary of the Commission’s tasks under the declaration of the transfer of power, and what it has done since its formation and election of its presidency within the framework of its work in assigning the Presidential Leadership Council, preventing fighting and achieving reconciliation and peace.
They reiterated the Yemeni government’s positive and supportive position on the proposals of the UN envoy to extend the armistice.
Referring to the humanitarian issues mentioned in it, including roads, the airport, the flow of oil derivatives ships through the port of Hodeidah, salaries, and the political process, despite the observations and reservations on some of the proposals, and on the other hand, the Houthis’ refusal to extend the truce and presentation of new demands.
