President of the Presidential Leadership Council Rashad al-Alimi received Wednesday Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khaled bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz.
The meeting included Members of the Presidential Leadership Council Aidrus al-Zabidi, Sultan al-Eradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Mujalli and Faraj al-Bahsani.
President al-Alimi welcomed Prince Khaled and congratulated him on appointing him a minster for defense, hoping success to the new Saudi government.
He praised mutual relations between the two countries and Saudi courageous positions supporting Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership in different phases.
The meeting tackled latest developments in Yemen and reforms made by the Presidential Leadership Council in economic and service fields and needed support to continue these reforms.
President al-Alimi talked about the UN Truce and means of renewing it despite Houthi militia’s continuous violations to it and disavowal of its commitments included in the truce’s articles as it did with Stockholm Agreement.
For his part, Prince Khaled conveyed best wishes of King Salman and his Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman to President al-Alimi and members of the council.
He confirmed commitment of the kingdom to the Presidential Leadership Council, to the government and to any efforts alleviating suffering of Yemeni people and realizing its aspirations for peace.
