Yemen Foreign Ministry official receives credentials of resident UNHCR representative

Yemen Foreign Minister’s advisor for the headquarters affairs Jamal Awad received in the interim capital Aden today the credentials of the new resident representative of the UNHCR Maya Amir Atonga.

The Ambassador Jamal Awad discussed with the resident representative of the UNHCR the most important activities of UNHCR in current circumstances in Yemen resulting from the war ignited by the coupist Houthi militia. He wished the representative a success in her tasks.

For its part, the representative praised the level of cooperation and facilities provided by the Yemeni government represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to facilitate the mission of the High Commissioner for Refugees.
