The two sides discussed a number of issues related to supporting the Organization’s work, facilitating its tasks and strengthening its humanitarian role, particularly in areas of great need.
The Red Cross representative elaborated on the Organization’s activities and programs in several governorates, particularly Ma’rib and Al Dhale’ governorates, as well as its humanitarian operations in areas of conflict and the resumption of training programs to raise awareness of international humanitarian law.
The Foreign Minister pointed to the need to double humanitarian work in Ma’rib governorate to meet the demands of the new waves of displacement and to help the victims of the Houthis’ constant attacks on residential and populated areas.
