Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik praised the British role keen to establish security and stability in Yemen, the efforts at the bilateral and international levels and in the Security Council, and the UK’s continuous support for restoring the Yemeni state and ending the suffering of Yemeni people.
In a meeting with the outgoing British ambassador, Michael Aaron, to bid him farewell, the Prime Minister praised the efforts Aaron he made during his tenure to serve the bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields, wishing the Yemeni-British friendship relations lasting prosperity, and to Aaron success in his future career.
They discussed developments on the Yemeni arena and the international moves to bring peace to Yemen, versus intransigent attitude of the Houthi coupist militia, which continues to escalate against civilians and displaced persons in Yemen and civilian objects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Talks also went over the role of the United Kingdom in supporting the Yemeni government’s efforts to achieve economic stability, and mobilizing international support to enable it to fulfill its obligations and alleviate the suffering of citizens, in the economic, humanitarian and service aspects, and its efforts to fight terrorism, restore the state and end the coup.
