Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on UNSC Resolution 2564 (2021)
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate welcomes Security Council Resolution 2564 issued on Thursday, February 25, 2021.
The ministry asserts that the resolution reflects the genuine and sincere attitude of the international community to help in achieving peace in Yemen and end the senseless war waged by Iran – Backed Houthi militia, resulted in humanitarian disaster and undermined the security and stability of the region.
The ministry confirms the continuation of the Yemeni government efforts to restore security and stability, end the coup d’état and achieve national reconciliation, in accordance with the outcomes of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference, the Gulf Initiative and its executive mechanism and UNSC Resolution 2216.
