Ambassador of Republic of Yemen to Moscow Dr. Ahmed al-Woheishi met today with Deputy Speaker of Russian Federal Council, Chair of the Russian Committee for Solidarity and Cooperation with Asian and African countries Elias Omkhanov.
Yemeni-Russian parliamentarian cooperation was key focus of the conversations.
The latest developments in Yemen including Houthi militia’s military attacks on Marib governorate were also touched upon.
Al-Woheishi handed over Elias the statement of the Yemeni parliament about Houthi rebels’ military escalation on Marib.
The Russian official stated that Russian Federation is supporting the UN-led peace efforts to re-establish peace, security and stability in Yemen.
