Yemen, European Union discuss humanitarian issues, Aden’s terrorist attack

Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ahmad Binmubarak discussed Monday via visual communications with the Ambassador of the European Union to Yemen Hanse Grundberg humanitarian issues and Houthi militia’s terrorist attack on Aden Airport.

Minister Binmubarak praised efforts exerted by the UN envoy to Yemen for solving the crisis in the country, pointing out that the government’s vision is based on supporting the task of the UN envoy on the bases of the three references; the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and UN Resolution 2216.

Binmubarak made it clear that the terrorist attack waged by Houthi militia on Aden International Airport came in implementation to Houthi militia’s agenda for continuing the war and spreading chaos and violence in Yemen for hindering efforts of the UN envoy for realizing peace.

For his part, the EU diplomat pointed out to the EU’s release, which denounced Aden Airport’s attack saying the attack aimed at foiling hopes of peace.

He expressed support of the EU to the government of Yemen for realizing peace, hoping that the attack will not affect the government’s efforts for this purpose.
